Gift Evening At Whareora

The hall was full to overflowing with relatives and friends of the happy couple. Dancing went with a swing and the evening came to an end all too soon. Mr. and Mrs. Print supplied the music. Miss McLennan played an extra. Mr. Mat Jones was M.C. A sumptuous supper was served, after which each guest received a piece of wedding cake. Mrs. McLennan, on behalf •of the Women’s Institute, presented the bride with a gift as a token of the esteem in which she is held by all fellow members and those present, Asked the happy couple to accept a numerous array oi gifts, and, at the same time, wished them all that was good, namely health, wealth and happiness. Mr. Plaisted responded. "For They Are Jolly Good Fellows" was then sung most heartily. Dancing continued until midnight.
