Kraal Best HalfMiler At Takanini

AUCKLAND, This Day

The grass track next to the rails was in use at Takanini this morning when the best efforts were recorded by Himalaya. Kraal, Route March and Hunting Bee. Himalaya was a neck in front of Route March at the end of five furlongs in 1.3, Palustre and Sea Law taking 1.4, while a similar time was also recorded by Ascot Bloom and Surpai. The best half mile was put up by Kraal, who was going very easily in front of Kinvara in 51, Nordic Song running 51 1-5, and Hunting Bee, 51 2-5, while Lovaals ran half a mile on the plough in 525.
