Values were well maintained in practically all sections at the Addington market yesterday. The fat sheep sale opened with a sharp rise of 3/- to 6/- a head, there being a very small supply forward, but the market steadied later, and the average improvement was from 2/G to Prime wethers made SO/- to rtf!/ -; extra prime, to 36/-: good, 2:1/- to 2!i/-; best ewes, 2.1/- to 27/-; tops, to 10/-; medium to good, IS/- to 22'-; light, 1:7/- to 17/G. Pat lambs had a keen sale at up to schedule rates. Store sheep sold at an advance. Romney cross 2-tooths made to 17/-: medium, 2.7/- to 20/-; Chatham Island -1 -year-olds to 21/fi. Fat Cattle Advance. Fat cattle advanced in value by fully 20/- a head for best finality. Prices ranged from £l7/10/- to £2O; good, £l4/10/- to £lO/10/-; light, down to £ll. Heifers sold from £lO/10/- to £18; secondary, down to £B/10/-: best cows, £O/10/- to £11; lops, to £l3. Best beef made up to 41/- per 100 lb.; tops, to 42/G; medium to good, 35/- to 37/-; rough, down tfi 29/-. Porkers firmed by 5/- a head, making from 42/G to 58/6; average price per lb., 7d. to 71Jd. Baeoners, £2/19/6 to £l/18/6, easing by 5/-; average price per lb., fid! to Gld.
