Pig Prices Improve At Westfield

At the Westfield fat stock sale yesterday there was a firmer tone in all sections, and prices for pigs made some recovery from their recent sharp drop. Pigs met with keener competition, the best price for baconers improving' on last week’s low rates by 4/ to £3 12/. The heavyweight baconers were again difficult to sell, however, and porkers brought £2 '?/, compared with £2 5/.

An average entry of sheep met a good demand, and realised improved values, the top price for prime wethers being £1 11/, compared with £1 8/9. Alfred Buc-kland & Sons, Dalgety & Co., and the N.Z.
