TENDENCY TOWARDS MOLE-LIKE LIFE
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 2 The tendency of the population to become underground residents is increasing, said Lord Horder in a speech. Some children, blitz or no blitz, have 'not seen the sun or daylight for weeks. - There is no such thing as the ideal shelter, but; some under large industrial business centres came very near to justifying the title. Epidemics and illnesses have not arrived as was anticipated. Health not only in the shelters but in the whole community is remarkably good.
