Air Attacks Compel Ruhr Evacuation
(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 2. Smashing Royal Air Force raids have compelled the Germans to evacuate 35,000 children from the Ruhr. Czechoslovakian representatives in London have learned that Britain has ordered Slovakia to accommodate the children in Bratislava.
The devastating effects of the raids on the Ruhr has made the problem of feeding the children a grave one. The Germans have already taken a great part of Slovakia’s foodstuffs.
