Free France Brought Into Sterling Bloc

LONDON, April 2.

The Treasury announced that an order will come into force today under the Defence Finance Regulations with the effect of adding to the sterling areas territories under the control of the Council of Defence of the French Empire, namely, French Equatorial Africa, the Cameroons under French mandate, French Oceania and French establishments in India. Iceland and the Faroe Islands are also included.
