Cowes’ Bay Gives To Whangarei Red Cross

When Mrs. -Madge Collins and Miss Kath Cullen were holidaying at Cowes Bay recently they did not forget the interests of the Whangarei Red Cross, of which both are enthusiastic members. Guests at the accommodation house arranged several special war efforts, one of which was a tennis match in which the Whangarei ladies opposed an Auckland pair. Victory went to Mrs. Collins and Miss Cullen, who suggested that the proceeds of the collection should be donated to the Whangarei Red Cross. This was enthusiastically agreed upon, and the amount raised was increased to £2 10/-.
