Brauchitsch Boasts To German Troops
BERLIN, December 25
General von Brauchitsch, addressing German soldiers, said: "Last Christmas I spoke to you at a point before the Maginot Line which was supposed to defend France. “Today I speak before the wall of water which will likewise protect Britain only so long as it suits us. “Britain, with no continental armies at her disposal, must now accept battle.”
