Heavy Holiday Rail Traffic
[Special to **Northern AcliM''"*"' ' AUCKLAND, This Day.
Christmas rail traffic reached its climax on Tuesday when more than 30 express trains arrived at or departed from the Auckland station.
All trains were heavily booked, but passengers from Wellington exceeded those to the capital by about onethird.
Every available vehicle has been brought into operation in the road services, which have been working to capacity. The congestion at the civic transport terminal made it necessary to obtain special supervision from the city traffic department.
