Installation Of Retain At Versailles

The newspaper “Ya” says that Marshal Petain is expected to be installed at Versailles on December 15. 15. German troops are already evacuating the town, but it is certain that, with or without Marshal Petain, it will continue to be a German city. Marshal Petain is expected to meet King Leopold as a result of the latter’s talk with Hitler in November, when Hitler laid down that small nations like Belgium, having vast colonial empires, must pay for protection and future peace. Between now and spring Germany absolutely needs the efficient productive collaboration of southern Europe.
