Aucklander Serving With Royal Engineers, Dead

ISpecial to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day.

Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs D. B. Patterson, of Arney Road, Remuera, of the death from gunshot wounds of their younger son, SecondLieutenant Howard Boys Patterson, Royal Engineers. The cablegram stated that he died on November 7. Second-Lieutenant Patterson was educated at King’s College, and later took his degree in architecture at Auckland University College. He left for England in March of last year, and joined the Royal Engineers shortly after the outbreak of war.
