Mr S. P. Day, secretary to the North Auckland Electric-Power Board, was appointed by the board at its monthly meeting in Dargaville yesterday as its representative on the district committee being set up to control the Home Guard organisation in the Hobson County and the Dargaville Borough. Mr A. V. Page, successor to Mr W. R. Betts as one of the Otamatea representatives on the North Auckland Electric Power Board. w.as welcomed at the monthly meeting of the board in Dargaville yesterday. The chairman (Mr J. A. McLean) said Mr Page h,ad been chosen unanimously and he felt sure he would fill the position with credit to himself and to the board.
