Auckland Stock Market Quieter
lSpecial to “Northern Advocate "l AUCKLAND. This Day.
The market on the Auckland Stock Exchange today was quieter, less business being done.
Values in some instances were easier, though the tone as a whole remained strong. The Australian section was about the same as it was yesterday, with Broken Hills steady at the lower level, but Colonial Sugars, at £SO/5/-. were 5/- higher. The gilt-edged section was stronger, with sellers still conspicuously absent. Sales completed at the noon call today were: Bank of N.Z.. £2 2/S; Auckland Gas (con.), 3/2; G. J. Coles, £2 5/6; Wilson's Cements, 19/G; Woolworths properties, £1 5/-; Mt. Morgan, 8/-.
