Quotations, on the Auckland Stock Exchange are not much altered from yesterday, though there is some evidence that the easing tendency is continuing. Banks of New Zealand, for example, sold this morning at £1 19/6, compared with £2 0/3 yesterday afternoon, while the quotations for G. J. Coles—£3 3/0 for buyers and £3 8/ for holders—represents a considerable drop. The last sale was £3 9/. Broken Hill Proprietary, on the other hand, have recovered. They were down to £2 3/6 yesterday afternoon, and now they are back to £2 3/9. Sales completed at the noon call today were: Farmers’ Auctioneering B pref., £1; N.Z. Breweries, £1 12/-. Broken Hill Pty., £2 2/-; Colonial Sugar, £SO 15/-; Loloma, £1 6/6; Auckland Power Board, 30/4/41, 4} per cent. £lOl.
