Auckland Power Board Surplus Of £51,905

[Special to “Northern Advocate’’] AUCKLAND, This Day. A satisfactory position was reported in the annual accounts of the Auckland Electric-Power Board, presented at a meeting of the board yesterday. There was a surplus of £51,905, compared with £76,292 last year. Gross revenue from sales of current amounted to £925,600, a rise cf £83,192, compared with last year, but, with an increase in expenditure of £101,146 to £802,357, the margin of profit has been reduced to ,0540 d a unit from .0883 d. A rise was shown in the number of customers to 64.418 from' 61,210.
