Regulation Breaches Bring Drivers To Court

Failure to report an accident which caused injury cost Arthur Frederick Joaas £3 and costs when he was charged in the Whangarei Court this morning. Evidence showed that Joaas’ car had been involved in an accident with another car, a young woman in which had received an injury to her face and the driver an injury to his right wrist. Joaas was also fined 10/- and costs on a charge of failing to have a warrant of fitness. Driving without sufficient lights was charged against Walter Horncastle Millington and Laurence Ross Nelson (Mr. Rishworth). each of whom was convicted and ordered to pay costs. For not having a warrant of fitness Bertram Jobbitt was fined 10/- and costs.
