North Third Echelon Roll Not Yet Complete
Officials at Whangarei Army headquarters are busily engaged in compi ing the roll for Northland’s quota of the Third Echelon of the Second Expeditionary Force. Although the Maori roll of 78 men who will go into .Papakura Camp on Wednesday, has been prepared and completed, progress on the Third Echelon roll, which is far larger, is more slow, and it is not expected to be completed until the beginning of next week. The. receipt of a number of withdrawals has not lightened the task of the officials in the final compilation of the roll.
