Later Tasman Air Mail Closing Times

[Per Press Association. Copyright .] WELLINGTON, This Day. Later closing times in Wellington and Auckland for mails for outward despatch by the transtasman air mail service were announced today by the Postmaster-General (Mr Webb). The Minister stated that, as a result of experience in despatching the first two mails outward, it was possible to provide later closing times in Wellington and Auckland. En future air mails would close in Wellington at noon on Saturday and in Auckland at midnight on Saturday, instead of midnight on Friday in both cages. Due to the lack of connecting services it would not be possible to close the mail in Dunedin and Christchurch later than at present (midnight on Friday), but throughout the North Island closing times would be coordinated to fit with the new Auckland and Wellington times.
