Kaikohe RoadSealing
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] KAIKOHE, This Day. Everything is in readiness in Kaikohe for the commencement with the work of tar-sealing the roads in the town district. In an interview with the “Advocate,” the Town Clerk (Mr K. W. Harold.) stated the work is to be done by tenders, which are now being called. As soon as the tenders have been examined, and a choice made, the work would be commenced. At the present time roads in and around the town are in a very bad state. The Ohaeawai-Kaikohe highway is, according to a number of motorists, in the worst state of corrugations that they can remember.
