Commander of the Second New Zea- j land Expeditionary Force in connec-! tion with the joint appeal for funds, • for comforts for soldiers at home and j overseas, as follows: — 1 “I understand an appeal is pending, i I hope the people of New Zealand : will realise how much wo appreciate the work done by the National Patriotic Society, Y.M.C.A., and other societies for the men here in Egypt.”
