Mangonui Tennis Champs. Decided
The Mangonui County lawn tennis championships were finalised at the Kaitaia courts yesterday, when playing conditions wore almost ideal. The games were all closely contested and the standard of tennis was good. Following were the results of the finals: Men’s singles: R. Ridings beat. K. Fyfo. 6-4, 4-0, fi-4. Men’s doubles: E: Brennan and K. Fyfe beat B. Berry and M. Crene, 2-6, 8-2. 6-3. Combined doubles: B. Berry and Miss M. Kerr beat R. Stitt and Mrs Stiff, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.
