According to the accounts of the Union Bank of Australia, Ltd., which have been received from London, the gross profits for the year ended August 31, 1939, were £1.241,982, against £1.232,234 in 1938. and £1,170,937 in 1937. Expenses increased to £1.016,895 from £987,560 in 1938. Net profit, as previously announced, was £19,595 lower at £225.087. “I’M BACK TO BAXTERS” “ . . .
