Upset Mars InterDominion Trots Final
PERTH, February 17. The inter-Dominion trotting championships were continued tonight under ideal conditions before an attendance of 16,000. The final was marred by Icevus losing his chance through an upset when looking like a winner. Icevus and Logan Derby are matched over a mile on Monday. Details: Championship Final, of 37550v5.; two miles.—First division: Grand Mogul (N.Z.), It., 1; Master Dixie (New South Wales), It., 2; Moreica, It., 3. Nine started. A yard; half a yard. Logan Derby recorded the fastest time. Championship points were awarded as follows: Logan Derby (18), declared champion: Our Globe (13i), Grand Mogul (13 1-3), Main Derby (12), Master Dixie GO 1-3), Moreica (8 5-6), Evicus (7), Icevus (6i), Uenuku (5). Radiant Walla (44). In the championship final, Logan Derby (Tasmania) won £IOOO and a gold cup; Grand Mogul (New Zealand), £1000; Master Dixie (New South Wales), £600; Moreica (Western Australia). £IOO.
