The North Auckland Farmers’ Coop., Ltd., reports holding the following sales during the week: — Waiotira: A good yarding with failcompetition for all classes of sheep with the exception of lambs, which were hard to- quit. Good wethers made 20/6 to 22/; smaller wethers, 18/ to 19/3; small two-tooth wethers, 15/6 to 17/9; twotooth ewes, 26/6 to 28/3; small twotooth ewes, 21/ to 24/3; four and sixtooth ewes, 26/6 to 28/; fresh fullmouth ewes, 17/6 to 19/; sound-mouth ewes, 11/6 to 14/3; cull ewes, 8/6 to 10/8; good store lambs,- .8/2 to 12/3; small lambs, 4/ to 7/9. Mangaw'hare: A good yarding of sheep, with bidding keen throughout. Wethers made from 19/ to 22/; smaller, 17/9 to 18/7; two-tooth ewes, small, 24/; inferior, 21/ to 23/3; good five-year ewes, 18/9 to 22/3; fullmouth ewes, 14/6 to 16/5; failingmouth ewes, 8/6 to 13‘/3; good store lambs, 12/3 to 14/1; smaller, 10/9 to 11/10; little lambs, 7/ to 8/6. Mr T. Griffin’s sale of Southdown rams: The sheep were as advertised — the best line Mr Griffin had offered the public. , The attendance was small, but bidding was fairly keen throughout, and prices ranged from 3ii to 8.1 guineas, the whole line averaging 5.1 guineas. Competition was keen for young sheep, but for anything failing in the mouth there was no demand. Outside competition was lacking on the ewes, but most of the lambs went to the Lower Waikato. Prices were as follows: —Wethers, four-tooths, 20/6 to 22/; light fat wethers, 17/ to 22/3; two-tooth wethers, 17/6 to 18/11; small two-tooth wethers, 15/9 to 16/; two-tooth ewes, good, 29/3 to 30/. Mr H. C. Fraser sold a line of 250 at 30/; smaller two-tooth ewes, 24/6 to 27/2; small two-tooth ewes, 21/ to 23/2; four-tooth ewes were passed in at 28/6, the vendor wanting 32/ for a line of 160; mixed age ewes, 21/; good fiveyear ewes, 18/ to 19/3; six-year ewes, 14/6; sound-mouth ewes, 12/ to 13/9; failing-mouths, 7/6 to 10/2; cull ewes, 3/9 to 6/10; good ewe lambs, 16/3 to 18/; smaller ewe lambs, 10/9 to 14/2; good store lambs, 12/10 to 16/9, Mr J. Bines receiving the latter price for a very nice line; smaller store lambs, 9/6 to 12/3; little lambs, 7/ to 8/10.
