Another £361,000 For Auckland Province Woolmen

[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. 'Over £361,000 is being distributed today throughout the Auckland province and Northland. Today is the prompt date for the third appraisal in Auckland of wool under the British Government's wartime purchase. With the present cheque, the total distribution in Auckland this season to date will be approximately £1,063,000. This is slightly above the figure for the whole of the 1938-39 season, when £1,061,743 was distributed. Two More Appraisals. There are still two appraisals to be held, and it .appears that the total cheque will be a large one, which will bear comparison with the £1,528,545 realised in 1936-37. Further supplies of wool are still coming to the Parnell stores, although the rate has slackened. Tentative dates have been fixed for two more appraisals before (he end of the season.
