SYDNEY, January 31. In a farewell speech today, the Australian Minister to Washington (Mr R. G. Casey) expressed the belief that Britain will shortly go through “the tortures of the damned” when the great surge of Germany’s air power descends. “If Britain goes down, Australia will go down a few months later,” said Mr Casey. “I hope my -countrymen will avail themselves ef the chance to develop a greater -Empire interest which presents itself.”
