Blazing Liner Deathroll Totals 104

(Received 2 p.m.) GENOA, January 25.

The Italian shipping line stated that 44 passengers and 60 seamen from the liner Orazio. which caught fire in the Mediterranean last week-end have been given up -as lost. There were 645 aboard the liner. Five hundred and forty-one were saved, one of whom, a child, has died of burns. The owners’ investigation shows that the fire was due entirely to a mechanical accident in one of the motors. The steamer carried a 1500-ton cargo. Shipping circles believe that the total loss will amount to over £500,000.
