Anglo-French Accord On Trade Questions

LONDON, January 24

The French Minister for Commerce (M. Gentin), accompanied by officials, has been on a visit to London for the last two days, for the purpose of discussing with the President of the Board of Trade (Sir Andrew Duncan) and the Parliamentary Secretary of the Overseas Trade Department (Mr R. S. Hudson), a number of matters of common interest.

The discussions covered the whole field of commercial relations, not only between the two countries, but also with third countries.

Complete agreement was reached in principle.

Technical discussions are to be carried on immediately between the French Ministry of Commerce and the Board of Trade in relation to questions of trade between the two countries and on other matters.
