Walter Wakelin reports having held a succesful sale of cattle and pigs at Kamo yesterday, when a medium entry of cattle and a large entry of pigs was submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Cattle sold_ well, as di'd fat pigs, baconers selfing to £4 6/9. Stores and, weaners were hard to quit, prices being the lowest for a long time. Fat cows sold f/om £5 10/ to £8 5/; medium fat cows, £4 to £5; fat Jersey cows, £3 10/ to £5 5/; heavy bener cows, £3 1/ to £3 15/; medium boner cows, £2 10/ to £3; light boner and potter cows, £1 to £2; cows and calves, £2 12/6 to £5 2/6; good quality yearling Jersey, heifers, £3 10/ to £4; yearling crossbred heifers, to £2 5/; mixed sex Shorthorn calves, £1 15/; Jersey heifer calves, £1 10/ to £2 5/; Shorthorn store cows, £3 5/ 1o £4 4/; dairy cows, close to profit, £5 1.0/ to £8; springing heifers, to £.5 10; cows in milk, to £6 10/; twotool ii wethers, 17/10.
