Small Sheep Fairs At Ohaeawai, Kaikohe
Messrs Balgety and Company, Ltd., report holding sheep fairs at Ohaeawai and Kaikohe this week when only small yardings came forward and practically all the sheep penned changed hands.
Owing to the adverse weather conditions of the past week, mustering operations on the sheep runs have been held up and this v'as responsible for smaller yardings at the fairs than was anticipated.
Two-tooth wethers made from 15.9 to 17/; four-looth wethers, 18/10 to 19/3: forward four-tooth wethers, 22/; two-tooth ewes. 28/1; best aged ewes, 17/3 to 21/; inferior sorts, 8/ to li/6; best wether lambs, shorn, 10/ to 14/; medium sorts, 8/ to 9/6: small lambs, 5/ to 6/; small ewe lambs, 7/3 to 8/3: Southdown rams, 3 to 4gns.
