Nearly 100, But Enjoys Life

[Special to “Northern Advocate ”l GISBORNE, This Day. Mr Isaiah McSaveney, formerly a farmer of the Rakauroa district, does not believe that age precludes enjoyment of life. Mr McSaveney will celebrate his hundredth birthday in New Zealand on March 20. He has just returned to Gisborne after having spent the past two years travelling about the various States in Australia. Mr McSaveney was married at the age of 98. He intends to return to Australia early in April.
