Steady Recruiting In Northland Area

Steady recruiting in the Northland area is reported at the Whangarei Army Office, although the daily totals are not quite as heavy as earlier.

With the mobilisation of the Third Echelon of the Second Expeditionary Fc*ce. following the filling of the Second Echelon quota, it is expected that recruiting will again receive a fillip. Enlistments yesterdaj r , totalling 12, were:—

Whangarei.—C. L. Queripel (Hikurangi), N. H. Allen (Maungaturoto), J. F. Evans, M. Edgar.

Kaikohe.—P. A. Tennant (Kaeo), J. A. McDonell (Horeke), L. W. Kidd, D. N. Law, S. Smith, K. J. Aiken. Dargaville.—J. L. Harrison-Smith (Te Kopuru). Wellsford.—W. McKay (Kaukapakapa).
