Exhibition Closing Date May Be Extended
At a meeting of the directors of the Centennial Exhibition Co., this week a number of requests were received from organisations representing seasonal workers that the Exhibition should be kept open longer than was originally intended. original intention was that the Exhibition would close during the first week in May,” the chairman (Mr T. C. A. Hislop) said later. “However, . certain representations having been made by correspondence from organisations whose worker's would have a better chance of paying extended visits to the Exhibition if the closing date is extended the matter is'being considered by the directors and a decision will be made in due course. “Rumours to the effect that the Exhibition is to close earlier than the date originally fixed are entirely without foundation.
“The increased attendances, combined with the, expressed intention of so many visitors to return for another visit, and the spread of the knowledge throughout the country that the Exhibition is something that should not be missed, give us every confidence fro a successful run up to the finish.”
