Britain’s Blockade Reply To U.S.
(Received 2.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January 4.
The State Department announces that the British Government has informed the United States that only in “very exceptional circumstances will Britain exempt German export to the United States from the blockade.”
This was not a reply to the protest of December 8. but answered questions presented to the British Ministry of Economic Warfare by the United States Embassy shortly after the announcement of the blockade on exports.
