No Court Expenses For State Inspector
“He won’t get it,
“If a servant of the State cannot come before the court and give evidence without wanting expenses, it is just too bad.” These comments were made by the magistrate (Mr Forner) in the Whangarei Court yesterday when refusing to grant witness’ expenses to a departmental inspector who had given evidence in an action for the possession of a house.
The magistrate said that in cases of this kind he felt It desirable to keep expenses at a minimum.
