De Valera Re-Elected Fianna Fail President
DUBLIN. December 14. Mr De Valera has been re-elected President of the Fianna Fail. Addressing the annual convention, ho said:
“The last war will be small compared with the present one.
“The Irish would pray for a quick settlement, but. ft is difficult, even with the best goodwill, to indicate the method by which it could be effected.
Ireland Won’t Forget. “All the nations might exert themselves to try to settle the conflict by conference, but it is most difficult to prevent each nation from using the threat of strength.
“I wish -1 could speak on behalf of all' Ireland.
“The force being used against the unification of the Irish should not forget.
“A solution of the problem could bo found by transferring British loyalists from Ulster to Britain.”
