Sweet-pea Judgings
The sweet pea shows at the Parua Bay No. 1 School and the Whangarei Heads Schools were judged by Mesdames Anderson and -Inkster, with the following results:
PARUA BAY. Vase of one colour: Verna Telfer 1 and 2, Shirley Telfer 3. Collection of blooms: Verna Telfer 1. Champion bloom; Edwin Williams 1, Verna Telfer 2. Buttonholes: Edwin Williams and Patsy Chaplin (equal) 1, Patsy Chaplin 2, Shirley Telfer and Bruce Telfer (equal) 3. Spray: Shirley Telfer 1, Murray Telfer 2, Edwin Williams 3, Shirley Telfer h.c. Posy (senior): Edwin Williams 1, Patsy Chaplin 2, Verna Telfer 3. Posy (junior): John Bush E Rex Telfer 2, Aline Harnett 3.
WHANGAREI HEADS. Champion: -Eileen Cossey 1, Marion Strugnell 2, Chrissie Munro 3. One colour: Chrissie Munro 1, Helen Strugnell 2, Dale Harvey 3.. Six varieties: Eileen Cossey 1, Marion Strugnell 2.
