School B Too Strong For Portland

Playing on the home grounds in the senior B competition School E compiled 189 against Portland, the visitors replying with 51. Hoskin was in batting form and gave a chanceless display for School in scoring 38, other good knocks going to the credit of Black, whose 43 was marred by one or two chances. Pollock (36), Whtelaw (28) and Leach (17). Carr was the most successful Portland bowler, taking six wickets for 57.

Leese. with 14 j was the only Portland batsman to reach double figures.

McLean gave an excellent bowling display in taking four for seven while Black completed a good double by taking three for 17.
