Mrs Williams. Mama, is in hospital for observation.
To- lurdorgo a siighrt operation. Master Trover Scott, Hikurangi, has entered a Whangarei hospital. Another Hikurangi resident to enter hospital this week was Mrs J Drinkwater, junr., Mountain Road. Mrs A. Laird, Valley Road, is also an inmate of a hospital. Mr J. Henderson is making a good recovery after undergoing an operation in a Whangarei private hospital. Miss Horne has resumed teaching after several weeks’ sick leave. Miss Nfta Frew, of the Waikato, is spending a short holiday with her parents to recuperate after a recent illness.
Mr Mitchell, Valley Road, is another suffering from illness. He is recovering from an attack of laryngitis. *Mrs Donaldson, Valley Hoad, received a sudden call to Auckland last Saturday to attend her daughter, who is ill. Accompanied by Mr and Mrs T. Burley. Mr and Mrs C. Stockley, junr., and their family, leave by car and caravan for Wellington tomorrow.
Lodge Social A social evening followed the usual fortnightly meeting of the Ngatoa Rebekah Lodge last Monday. Dancing, to music supplied by Mesdames A. Ruff and J. Spark and Mi A. Fieldes, was M.C.’d by Mr A. Tilton.
During the meeting discussion centred round the 11th birthday party of the lodge to be celebrated on the next lodge night.
