21,500 Tons Of Contraband Seized In Week

RUGBY, November 29,

During the week ended November 25, the British contraband control intercepted and detained approximately 21.500 tens of contraband goods suspected of being destined for Germany. The total included: 11,600 tons of petroleum products. 45,000 tons of cotton. 20C0 tons of copra, 900 tons of fodder. 650 tons of hides and skins. 600 tons of fibres. 430 tons of copper.

250 tons of foodstuffs. In the first 12 weeks of the war, British contraband control detained a total of nearly 463,000 tons, including over 100,000 tons of petroleum products.
