Australian Cricket Tour To N.Z. Off

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day
Following discussions between the Australian, Board of Control and the New Zealand Cricket Council, it has been jointly decided that the proposed New Zealand tour by an Australian team be abandoned for the time being. The statement issued by the management committee says it was with great regret that the committee found itself forced by existing circumstances to this decision.
