Particularly timeiy a: the present time because of the war in Europe and the large part which espionage must undoubtedly be playing, is “Luck of the Navy,” a thrilling spy drama which was screened at the Plaza Theatre last evening *and which will be offered again tonight.
Commander Stanton receives sealed orders which he conceals in a photograph of his fiancee. Dining with her parents, he discovers that other guests are spies and that his second in command is one of them.
A thrilling fight takes place before the action shifts to the sea, where it reaches an exciting climax. Second feature on the programme is “Women Are Like That,” with Kay Francis and Pat O’Brien in the principal roles. It is a fast-moving story with Miss Francis proving herself a delightful comedienne. Comedy abounds and Toe story, while touchingly human at times, is so gay that there is never a let-down in spirits.
