Services To Whangarei And Northland
Eulogistic references to the services of the late Mr H. W. Crawford in the interests of Whangarei and Northland were made by members of the Whangarct Borough Council last night. The Mayor, / Mr W. Jones, spoke feelingly of his widespread and untiring work for tho advancement of the province.
A motion of sympathy with the bereaved relatives was passed, members standing in silent tribute. Late Mi* F. Higginson. A motion of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr F. Higginson was also passed, and fitting reference made In Jus wort: in the interests of Whangarei. Mr Higginson was a former member of the council and at the time of his death was a borough representative on the Whangarei Hospital Board.
