Attempt To Sever Corridor

Severe fighting between the German and Polish armies has been proceeding since Friday on all fronts.

Official reports from Warsaw and Berlin, a£ well as reports from neutral centres, indicate that the main German attacks have been made from northeast Germany and East Prussia, in conjunction' to cut off the Polish Corridor,

Attacks-have also been made upon the Polish garrisons about Gdynia and the Hel Peninsula. On Poland’s southern frontier attacks are being directed at Silesia from the vinicity of Teschen, which Poland acquired when Czechoslovakia was broken up, and further east over the high country at Zakopane and Jurgov, toward Neumarkt.
