Ladies' Committee To Assist Orphanage
The meeting of ladies called yesterday in the Town Hall to discuss the furnishing of the Tikipunga Orphanage was well attended. Mrs W. Jones presided.
Mrs M. Staple was elected president,' Mrs R. T. Tudehope, treasurer, and Mrs T. Griffin secretary, with an enthusiastic committee. It was decided to divide the town into districts so that a house to house collection could be. started at once.
Promises of monetary donations and gifts have already been received, which augur well for the success of the campaign.
