Britain Open To Parachute Invasion, Says German Admiral
(Received 1.30 .p.m.) BERLIN, July 15. In an article in the newspaper “Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung,” RearAdmiral Gadow says the invasion of England is no longer academic, but practical. He cites British experts’ views that the development of submarines, aeroplanes and. wireless have strengthened England’s defences, and mentions also the benefit of these developments to an attacker. The writer emphasises the practicability of landing troops and equipment by parachute, and says the possibilities in this direction were demonstrated by the transport of Moroccan troops to Spain and by British activities in Egypt, Cyprus and Palestine.
