Norris Trophy Goes To R. H. Allan
RIFLE SHOOTING
R. H. -Allan, with a total of 294 for three shoots, won the W. Norris Trophy, shot for by members of the Whangarei Defence Rifle Club. Cthers close up wore: —C. P. Ward, 287; W. Nonas, 281; J. Norris, 281; W. Borehr.m, 273; J. Copeland, 275; G. Neville, 271. The final shoot was conducted on Sunday when, a fresh wind and scattered showers made shooting rather difficult. Scores were; R. H. Allan, 47 at 500, 45 at 600, handicap 4, total 97; E. A. Foot, 47, 43, G—96; C. P. Ward. 43, 40, 12—95; W. Norris, 48. 45. scr—93; J. Norris, 45, 46, 2—93; W. Boreham, 48, 44, scr—92; J. Copeland, 42, 43, 7—92; G. Neville, 47, 32, 2—81; F. Thackery, 49 at 500.
