At the Frankton stock sale yesterday a buoyant market was experienced when all sections brought prices that were the best since last year.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., reports as follows.—Good quality mediumweight, ex. made £lO 5/- to £11; prime, but lighter, £9 5/- to £9 17/6; light and unfinished, to £8 2/6; medium quality Polled Angus cows, £6 5/- to £6 17/6; lighter, to £5 15/-; prime Jersey cows, to £C 5/-; heavy boners, £4 12/- to £4 19/-; medium, £3 15/- to £4 8/-; lighter, £2 17/6 to £3 15/-; cull and canner cows, £1 to £2 2/-. Sheep.—Heavy fat wethers, 24/- to 25/-; ■medium, £1 to 23/-; lighter, to 18/6; good fat lambs, 16/- to £1; others, to 14/6; an excellent line of wethers, from the Waikato Racing Club sold from 23/9 to 25/6.
Figs.—Medium bacon, £3 10/- to £3 15/-; light, £3 3/- to £3 8/-; heavy pork, £2 12/- to £2 18/-; medium pork, £2 2/- to £2 9/-; light, £1 15/to £2; large stores, £1 17/6 to £1 15/-; light, £1 to £1 5/-; slips, 14/- to 19/6; weaners, 7/6 to 12/6; sows, close to profit, £5 5/-.
