Holland’s Queen Alarmed

(Received 2 p.m.) THE HAGUE, July 7. Queen Wilhelmina has summoned defence chiefs and the former Governor of the Indies to consultations respecting the formation of a new Government, as, in view of the dangers in Asia to the Dutch Indies, it is considered vital that the country should no longer be left without a Government..

The Queen refused to grant the request of the Prime Minister, M. Colijn, to be relieved from the task of forming a Cabinet. The Netherlands Cabinet resigned on June 29 as a result of the Prime Minister refusing to agree to the borrowing of funds for defence and unemployment.

He said he preferred to frame the Budget according to the revenue. The Queen requested him to lead a new Government, but he later stated that lie was unable to do so, and asked to be r'elieved from the task.
